Casa Capanni is an ancient country house, immersed in the typical Tuscan
countryside characterized by ancient villages, unspoiled enviroments,
sweet hills. Casa Capanni is a two storey house, made in the local serena
stone and built with the typical XVI century architecture.
The small
hamlet where is located, at the bottom of the famous Cortona and the
fertile Chiana Valley, still preserves the echos of past times when
farmers used to be at service of noble families. Due to its location, a
few km from Cortona and the proximity of the most important hystorical
towns in Tuscany and the nearby Umbria, Casa Capanni is an ideal base for
discovering the beauty of this territory so rich in hystory and art.
In
this villa it’s possible to experience relaxing and pleasant holidays,
tasting the peaceful atmosphere of the past and the joy of the colourful
surroundings. The villa has been recently restored maitaining the original
allure thanks to precious finishings such as wood beams, terracotta
floors, the choice of colours and the large and bright rooms.
Every single
room offers the strong feeling of the family who has being owning the
villa since a long time, and it is full of memories of the children who
have spent in this house unforgettable moments. The villa is now the
meeting point between past and present. Furniture has been tastefully
chosen, but, at the same time, it’s functional and comfortable. The
presence of antiques pieces is what one expects in a classical tuscan
home. Casa Capanni is a magic place where enjoying the perfect blend of
different eras and all different features which made Tuscany and its
people famous worldwide.
PARK: This holiday house is surrounded
by a pleasant well kept garden of about 2000 sqm, a fence guarantees
guests’ privacy. Two entraces, defined by wrought iron gates, give acces
to the garden and the parking area located behind the house
(under construction).
SWIMMING POOL: open from April 29th to
October 7th. It measures 5 x 10 m and maximum depth is 1,80 m. The pool
merges perfectly in the garden and has sunbeds, sun umbrellas and a
shower.
INTERIORS: the ground floor, typical
of ancient villas, is composed of a big room, where, defined by arches,
there are:
- a dining room, really elegant and with a beautiful table
- a
living room, with a big tuscan fireplace and benches
- a television area
and a sitting room with comfortable sofas.
The fully equipped kitchen,
accessible from the entrance hall, has dishwashers and two tables sitting
18 people. All rooms on ground floor open the garden through beautiful
full lenght glass doors. A half bathroom is still on ground floor.
An
internal stone staircase leads to the first floor which is divided into
two wings. In the first one there is a cosy living room with satellite TV
and DVD, an adjacent reading room with antique and modern couches, a
double bedroom with bathroom and a laundry room.
On the other wing there
are a double bedroom, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms.
Going up the
stone staircase the last floor is reached. Here there are three doubles,
three twins and three bathrooms of which two with tub and one with shower.
All bedrooms are spacious, bright and cosy both for colours and furniture
used.
SERVICES INCLUDED: water, gas for
kitchen purposes, weekly linen, initial and final cleaning plus on
Tuesday, pool and park maintenance.
