IL POGGETTO - UMBRIA - TODI (PERUGIA)
Il Poggetto is a fine country house nestled in the beautiful panorama of
the Umbrian countryside. It is located only a few km from Todi, the world
wide famous town. During the restoration all original characteristics has
been maintained, the result is a cosy villa still preserving the taste of
antique country life.
Il Poggetto had a nice swimming pool and a park with
garden and wood. The interiors has been organized in order to allow the
family to gather together in the big communal spaces. The furnishing has
been tastefully chosen and an atmosphere of great peace is spread all
around the house.
Ceilings have wooden beams and antique terracotta tiles
have been used for floors. Many antique pieces complete the finishings of
the villa. The neighbours are a family of farmers and they will not
disturb the guests’ privacy.
PARK: The villa has a park of 1,7 hectares, partially covered with wood.
The garden is well kept and before the house there is a gravel space
useful for parking the cars. The exterior is also organized with wood
burning oven, barbecue, table, chairs and umbrella for outdoor living.
SWIMMING POOL: open from April 29th to October 7th. The swimming pool is
10 x 5 m and 1,20-2,00 m deep. There are all the usual finishings needed
around it.
INTERIORS:
Ground floor is composed of a billiards room with sofas and
fireplace, a big dining room with a table for 12 people, beautiful well
equipped kitchen, living room with satellite Tv and big window overlooking
the town of Todi, half bath.
First floor: an internal staircase in the
living room leads to the elegantly furnished sitting room characterized by
an antique fireplace. From here are accessible: a master bedroom with
en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub, a twin bedroom (with joinable beds)
with en-suite bathroom with shower and a corridor heading two twin
bedrooms (still with joinable beds) and a bathroom with shower.
The first
floor is also reachable by an external staircase. Laundry room is in a
small annexe close to the kitchen.
SERVICES INCLUDED: electricity, water,
gas for cooking purposes, initial and final cleaning, weekly linen, pool
and park maintenance.
