Amongst these was Vincent Van Gogh, who painted over 150 canvasses in the countryside surrounding Saint Rémy de Provence. There are several essential visits in Saint Rémy: the “grands Thermes”, the long residential avenue, the temple and the natural spring of a genuine gallo-roman city dating back to the end of the first century B.C. Two major monuments are visible near the site: the “Arc de Triomphe” and the “Mausolée des Antiques”.
